Thanks for another well-written and spot-on piece of analysis, Declan.

The story of the US in Latin America since the Monroe Doctrine and now arguably retrenching back to after spreading chaos and violence around the globe and presently losing big time against Russia.

We can't read the future but some good analysts are pointing to Trump's call for a summit of the three big powers; US, China and Russia; his talk about Canada, Greenland, the Panama Canal etc as a push for retrenchment which, unfortunately, may be why Maduro is back again as a prime target and this time it may be the Western/Israeli security forces doing their worst.

Trump is pushing going back to 19th century "spheres of influence" politics but he also has a price on his head, albeit not as overt. I remain pessimistic as these globalists are not done yet by a long shot and I am gutted with the thought of even further pressure on Maduro and those who resist - their courage knowing they may be handing themselves a death sentence is extraordinary.

Caribbean, Central American, Latin American history is littered with the most depraved acts of violence committed by the US that is difficult for most people to comprehend - the Mafia on acid; environmental destruction, chaos, misery, instability all for US corporations profit.

Anyway, I've already taken up too much space on your thread but think Gramsci's famous quote is appropriate here:

"An old order is dying and the new cannot yet be born. In the interregnum there will be a wide variety of morbid symptoms."

"If the United States were genuinely concerned about democracy and human rights, Venezuela wouldn’t even make the top ten of their hit list. If it were about promoting democracy or protecting human rights, they’d be placing bounties on the heads of Saudi Arabia’s royal family or Israel’s prime minister." You kind of don't have to say any more than that. I wish more people made this connection.

Omg it is just genuinely a spectacle at this point dude. You really started this at the right time declan

Would anyone be surprised if the 🤡 Prince Musk instructed lapdog 🐕‍🦺 Trump to put a bounty on Starmer and Phillips. Yee, ha! Someone, somewhere send in the cavalry to rescue us . . . 🔫

The world upside down! While the now "good terrorist" Al Joolani - whose head was priced at 10 million dollars is on the way or has already been removed from the fateful list - is promoted to master of Syria by the evil trio ISRAEL/USA/Turkey, there are calls for the execution, the murder of the elected president of a sovereign state Venezuela, with a reward of 25 million dollars!

Rules based order? Really? Shouldn't we rather say Biased rules order.

Isn't that enough to make you bang your ass on the ceiling.

Can anyone believe, in 2025, that US motivations are humanitarian or out of concern for exporting their brilliant democracy? ... No, no, no! As always, It's all about the benjamins folks!

Did you read my mind? It's as if you knew what I was going to write in my comment. Word for word almost. I also said the world is upside down, and pointed to the "good terrorist" Julani. Then the visuals of banging your ass on the ceiling!!! 🤣🤣

But for real, for real, this stuff is not even the least bit funny. It's an absolute train wreck, and like the Titanic, the band plays on. SMDH

I am not sure what happen to USA when the USA implodes.

I think it is possible/likely that the Zionist/Evangelical movement will come to the fore.

IF anyone thinks that the EXODUS of Zionists to the USA/Europe/UK is not going to happen............read my lips!

Surely! The Exodus has already begun and, It can only increase…

Yes. The USA may not have bombs dropping on them BUT USA is 'ripe fruit' for the most ardent Zionists/Evangelicals to take over. A different war.

What the actual F**k is going on here. The US lifts it's bounty on a known terrorists, Julani and places an even heftier bounty on Maduro? Well ain't dat some sh*t! It is simply amazing how blatantly hypocritical the US and its allies are. We have a person whom the US claimed to be a bona fide terrorist responsible for beheading US soldiers, dressed up in a suit, and praised by international leaders, forgetting what he's been accused of as the leader of Al Qaeda, ISIS and Nasrallah and now he's the good guy and Maduro gets to be the bad guy. The world we live in is completely upside down. It seems the US has no compunction to show its underbelly to the world. I keep saying this, how in the world can any of these folks point fingers at Netanyahu when he is merely following in the footsteps of his imperial predecessors? All accusations against him are merely confessions of their own tyrannical imperialistic tendencies. Netanyahu can cut off the head of the leaders of the resistance thru assassinations and the US and its allies can do their part with economic warfare and destabilizations of countries and their leaders who won't comply.

Another part of this hubris is American exceptionalism and the desire to maintain our way of life. If we were not to addicted to modern conveniences, maybe there would be a larger ground-swell protesting the US hegemony around the world. So the political leaders can hobnob with the worst in order to secure the "best" for its citizens. Of course we all know that's a trope as well, as the trickle down barely trickles down as it actually stays clogged at the top with the richer among us getting even richer.

The silence of the hypocritical West on this amoral bounty on Maduro by the Washington mafia is deafening- with lapdog Australia’s FM even blaming the “lack of democracy” in Venezuela, ignoring the fact that Maduro won a fair election.

I completely agree with your analysis of US motives and policy. But it’s also true that Maduro is corrupt and a tyrant and stole his re-election. I think this should be stipulated, as the lawyers say, and then as US citizens we should attack our government’s actions - as you have done so well.

The USA's motto is, "Rules for thee but not for me." The USA has over 750 military bases all over the world, circling so called "sovereign" countries and just by that fact, none of those countries are truly sovereign. https://youtu.be/tN6baopMq9s?si=LnESybdCN7XFyZN1

The USA was designated as the military strong arm of the world pretty much at its inception. It can do whatever it wants because of its military. The hubris is galling. And you better know it, no one has the balls to strike the USA! No matter how many "false flag" illusions they throw at us, like the 911 so called attacks. No way! And the USA has let it be known, that not only will they take you out militarily, but they will get their other mafia members to comply with the sanctions, and with this bounty business, get some henchmen to carry out their orders or "else".

Of course.

Do you realise how almost impossible it is to stay alive let alone in office in a small South American country if the US decides your regime is non grata, as for talking of ‘proof’ of election fraud maybe Mr Trump can help with that!

He’s not corrupt at all. Neither was Chavez. Squeaky clean. He’s not a tyrant either. It’s one of the most democratic states on Earth. The election was not stolen. Exit polls and polls had him winning by 8 points and he won by 5 points. He did WORSE than the polls. There’s no way that election could have been stolen. You need to quit believing lies.
