You can wait till the end of all eternity for Muscovites to push for an aerial ceasefire on the back of this, or any other attack on Russia in fact. The West hugely underestimates the galvanising power of this weaponised Russophobia and how Russians from all walks of life pulled together as a nation. That includes anyone I know with Russian ancestry as well (myself included).

yeah, people have no clue what it's like in Russia, nor how they feel about Europe's Russophobia/philia

Not aware of the -philia part beyond a small community here on Substack but very happy to be proven wrong 😀

Seems like Zelensky doesn’t really want that ceasefire, just agreed to it under US pressure. Surprise, surprise.

It would seem to be an odd time for Russia to agree to a ceasefire. Winter is ending and the opportunity for mounting offense is increasing.

Just don't see Russia agreeing. They have no reason to. Oh, for Zelensky's agreement to it, he's getting military aid back.

never trust an American brokered ceasefire.

Attacking Moscow. Welcome to WW3. How would the USA react if Mexico or Puerto Rico or Greenland attacked Washington DC hitting high rise civilian apartment buildings.

Imagine if Washington DC was attacked. I live in the USA and I regard this attack on Moscow Russia as not just by Ukraine on Russia. This is an attack on Moscow by the United States of America....by the United Kingdom....by France......THIS IS AN ATTACK ON MOSCOW BY WEST GERMANY THE SUSCESSOR STATE TO NAZI GERMANY. this is an attack on Moscow by NATO !!! By Sweden and Norway too.

Yesterday I read that Ukraine and USA NATO had attacked at least 2 oil refineries. How would the United States respond if someone blew up 2 refineries ???

It's time to end this stupid war. Are Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and Victoria Nuland and Boris Johnson and Germany Leaders all happy they told Zelinski War was a better idea than not joining NATO ???

Without forgetting that Putin asked to join Nato and it was refused by those puppets, much before the war... EU Leaders are just well paid puppets or blackmailed ones, like Merkel...

When the Soviet Union fell apart and there was no Warsaw Pact the NATO Massive Waste of money and climate change pollution ……the North Atlantic Treaty Organization should have voted to disband..…there was really no reason for NATO to exist.

NATO is a jobs program. Why not shut down NATO…..but take every NATO employee….and send them to work with people with developmental or physical disabilities…..let them work feeding bathing showering dressing toileting etc etc incontinent adults at 250 or 300 #s…. Even 100 or 150 or 200 #s weighs a lot ….so military people in good shape would be great to help lift 300 pounds people who can't stand up….

I've done that work full time plus while living in poverty.

Off on a different but related subject. Our support services in the USA suffer because all our money goes to fighting in the colonies overseas. Or doing practice invasions and setting up new military bases and submarines etc….

and letting Russia into NATO ……how could it have hurt……though completely shutting NATO down and improving the environment and sustainability and upping the income of the bottom half would have been better.

We have the United Nations and the United Nations Security Council and the European Union……we could have eliminated NATO.

On the other hand War is the Number One Business in the United States of America. The USA Pentagon is literally the largest employer in the entire world.

How bad are the Monopoly Parties in the USA? The Demopublican California Senator Schiff literally says that we are fighting the Russians over there in Ukraine so we don't have to fight them over here……like Russian landing craft would be landing in Long Island and taking over North America…..

The Russians can barely defeat Ukraine but its going to invade Poland and France and the USA….Ridiculous…..

Agree!

And we're getting more and more ridiculous to the eyes of the Far East countries that are building the future while we play with those deadly "toys" and tales...

Just another Glavset production. Russia is a great country but Putin is a murderous prick. Glad so many young Russians managed to escape the country before they were thrown into his meatgrinder.

It seems that the only ones pushing the story of Ukrainian troops being encircled are Russian propaganda outlets. 🤷‍♂️

More interestingly, we are witnessing a huge change in warfare, in which drones guided by skilled mechanic-infantry, rather than heavy armour or artillery, are taking over on land as they already have in this conflict at sea. That will eventually negate the influence of heavy arms manufacture and lead to even more specific targeting of logistical supply nodes and military bases. If anything, the drone attack on Moscow is a throwback - a response to the unrelenting heavy artillery, rocket and "kamikaze drone" attacks employed by Russia. The hope that indiscriminate attacks break the morale of the other side has clearly been exposed as a fallacy.

My problem here (and I'm not even a Russian nor am I a Russophile, mind you) is that Zelinsky does not represent ALL citizens of Ukraine. Cease fire is a one thing, and since war was entirely Zelinsky's doing, him calling cease fire is fitting. But going any further with him, while he was in bed with Ukraine's Nazis (it's unclear was it out of political opportunism or out of personal convictions and beliefs) trying to remove Russian speaking Ukrainians from - well, Ukraine, no other way to look at it really - is not gonna work for Russians. It's delusional to expect so. Hence, in my opinion, a delay in Russian reply.

Russia will never accept another criminal joke, I hope, after that one before the war that Merkel then admitted was only to have a couple of months more to organize and arm the Nazi Ukrainian and the NATO logistic there...

Sounds good so far, still needs Russia's input and approval. I'm waiting to hear what conditions are going to be put in place by both sides b4 I get too excited. Can't see Putin walking away empty handed.

The US and Ukraine trying to arrange a ceasefire with each other is utterly irrelevant. There’s an important party missing from that discussion.
