"What is left? Well, we must resist in any way we can. While the present looks grim, I genuinely believe we’ve reached a tipping point. Large parts of the world are growing disillusioned with the West and its so-called ‘rules-based order.’ " Amen!! There were times in the 60's when we thought that the Vietnam war would last and last, but we kept marching just the same. Not that our marches ended the war, but I believe they added to the forces of change.
Thank you for commenting, Duncan! And I agree with you. If nothing else, those marches gave people the confidence to know that they were not alone and that there were thousands of people just like them who also wanted change. That's about 30 years before I was born but I think we should all take some inspiration from those times.
Forgive me, but that man is a senile, doddering old fool. Shameful that he held the office of President of the United States for four years. Put in office by powerful democrats who sought a puppet to manipulate. AIPAC and Zionists being just two. The politics of politics.
American politicians have been bought by the Jewish lobby, backed by gullible American so-called 'Christian Nationalists', who put patriotism before true Christianity.
Biden, who I respect in many ways, failed to resist the Jewish lobby.
Biden could have paused arms supplies to Israel at any time, until the war criminal Netanyahu withdrew from Gaza and stopped murdering Palestinians, but he didn't.
I agree this is Biden's biggest failure, costing at least 48,000 Palestinian lives.
Israel's strategy of attacking its neighbours is a failure because every time an Israeli kills a Palestinian it causes more people to hate Israel.
Netanyahu's demand Hamas be eradicated has failed and even Blenkin admits Hamas has recruited many new members outraged at Israel's slaughter of their families and friends.
The so-called peace deal will only be a pause, unless Israel admits failure and gets serious about making peace with its neighbours.
Mike, why don’t you take a nice plunge from a tall building. If the Islamist terrorists never attacked on Oct 7 there would be no war. Maybe if your daughter gets raped and kidnapped you will understand. Let’s …hope that doesnt happen.
What Biden could snd should have done, back in November, 2023 if not before, was to recognize the state of Palestine. Instead, his minions blocked this recognition. Palestinians must not go back to the status quo ante after this victory—and it is a victory, however phyrric. And we must keep supporting them until they achieve freedom and a just peace. I am going to continue boycotting Israel.

Jefferson's words look like a cruel joke today: "Peace, commerce and honest friendship with all nations; entangling alliances with none"
