The genocidal state of "Israel" has occupied more and more Palestinian land on every "October 7th" each year since 1949. Of course the European Broadcasting Union somehow decides that October 7th 2023 is THE holy one. No surprise.
Beyond this event called "Eurovision", the EBU and its member broadcasters are in fact now entirely set up for manipulation, gaslighting, and gatekeepting to ensure their lies are unchallenged. This they call by the orwellian term "fact checking":
The EBU and its member broadcasters are also a core part of a NATO propaganda network, via the NATO central think tank, which goes by the name of the Rand Corporation:
Note that their "fact checking" filters curiously has not stopped one word of the torrrent of lies we have been fed by European broadcasters while European governments are sending weapons and ammunition to the Israelis to mass murder civilians. So its censorship of truth, not fact checking.
They put on these kinds of events like Eurovision to try and solve that the fundamental problem that everyone now KNOWS they are bald faced liars
See slide 44 of the latest Edelman Trust Barometer ("Media: Put the facts first")
Also see slide 41 ("Media Distrusted in 14 of 48 countries measured") which shows that it's precisely these European broadcasters that are least trusted by their own people:
They mean unity through music?! They mean through genocide and lies. They make me want to puke. I've never watched, and I intend to keep it that way.
I hope it's a massive flop. The BBC needs to go. Bloody Bootlicking Corporation. Fascist scumbags. This is the time when people need to show them who is in control. Boycott these cockroaches 100%.
I'm Rohaan- I write on Geopolitics, Gaza, these Zionists inhumane ahhh people, I ain't new but my old newsletter had glitches so made a new acc! My latest piece?
I don't watch Eurovision. Why are we (Australia) and Israel in it anyway? Australia is like 12000km from Europe and Israel is in West Asia.
I also hate the type of pop music that is on Eurovision.
I have been outspoken against Israeli actions since 10/7. Certainly nobody could accuse me of appeasing Israel.
Yet I do admit to disagreeing with the implication of this article. I think that sport, music, and other related things should stay separate from politics. I think there is great value in having countries meet in these settings and do something non-political, even when the nation states involved are terrible.
I don't like it when Russia is removed from the tennis grand slams and their athletes have to compete individually. I wouldn't like a similar rule for Israel, Ukraine, KSA, or Turkey either. I think it misses the point of international competition. You aren't condoning the killing of over a million Iraqis when you play an American athlete in tennis. You're playing a game of tennis.
I also think it overlooks the fact that sport (and competition in general, music, etc) can be a very transformative thing. Cultural exchange can be a very valuable thing. These events can actually be a catalyst for change.
This article itself is an example of how this can work. Maybe there are still some very propaganized people out there who just watch CNN or Fox who have seen the controversy around Israel's inclusion and look into the issue further, whereas if Israel had been banned they would not even be aware of this dispute.
It's certainly a nuanced issue and I'm grateful this article has got my little grey cells working. What do you think of my take? Disagree? Agree? Any thoughts?
Post well written! I couldn't agree more. You're welcome to check my latest post about it. and here’s another point to think about:
The majority of people in Israel today appear to support vindictive violent actions, which should be condemned in every possible way.
Israeli media often constructs a false narrative by avoiding coverage of the destruction in Gaza and portraying Palestinians as demonic aggressors, rather than showing how the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are responsible for the continuous killing of innocent lives, including women and children.
Israel has lost its moral compass, and voices calling for an immediate ceasefire are marginalized and silenced by a corrupt authoritarian regime led by figures like Itamar Ben-Gvir.
What you can do to make a difference: Watch Falastinvision - the Genocide Free Song Contest - instead! Free Palestine! 🇵🇸

I used to watch it, not anymore!

Thank you, Aoife!

Good piece, Deaglan. Spot on.
You can make a difference by walking away. Don't take part in their shit. Give them two fingers.
Euroschlock, Hollywood: same genus, same modus operandi, same goal - stunt perception, trash reality, reduce to amoebic moronic feebleness...
Where in Europe is Israel anyway??
It's more that 'Israel' is full of Europeans rather than being in Europe.
Who is the UK entry this year, Radiohead?
😹 yeah, Roger Waters wasn't available.
It’s more than a charade, Baz. It’s witchcraft..

They nearly did whitewash the genocide.
Exclude Israel from all european sports and cultural competitions. Now.
All this for a sick legal fiction that calls itself Israel.
