As a French, now French American. I think it's hilarious that US liberals love this guy. He's the worst establishment Wolf in sheep's clothing ever. Only he's not even a wolf, he's just lame. Putin is not scared of him, no one is, he's not serious

Thank you,Deaglan.

At the very beginning of this horror I was telling people that it was not like what had happened previously in the occupied territories.

I knew that there would be ramifications far beyond that would lead to the collapse of the much vaunted “rules based order”. This we are seeing played out before our very eyes.

It is now plainly obvious that those rules were a fiction put in place to safeguard the interests of the western powers.

The crimes committed against the people of Iraq,Libya,Afghanistan and so many other places across the globe have finally come home to roost and those responsible for them are exposed for what they are.

More power to you,my friend.

Good piece, Deaglan.

From the perspective that Ticks like Macron, Starmer, Carney, Merz et al are mercenary avatars, these are dangerous moments; the passive-aggressive probings of sociopathic/psychopathic power. I don't think they will admit they were wrong, only pretend to be conciliatory.

This is about maintaining colonialist ideology, keeping it normalised when the world's majority can see how perverted it is. These people are entitled maniacs who thing they are gods.

The highly organised minority of power behind these puppets may be testing the public's appetite for what appears to be a conciliatory posture but is nothing of the sort. These people are very dangerous at this stage. They flail about as their parasitic existence is threatened but now pretend to disapprove of the regimes they supplied and supported, distancing themselves - pretending to turn over a new leaf like the sociopathic abuser in a relationship does.

Even as they take obvious defeat on their plans to break up Russia, they will flail about with all kinds of terrorist violence, while at the same time pretend to compromise or be peacemakers.

These are soulless ghouls, determined to hang on to power whether appearing submissive or dominant: they are very clever, cunning dark people that have built states and deeply layered their power and influence within , along with all kinds of poisons.

If there's a chance now to break them up, the world must act on it and take it, do not listen to their pleas of mitigation. They have none.

The western powers are arrogant and hypocritical.

They are clinging to an image of themselves which was never true.

Many of them left behind a trail of blood.

They see themselves as fair and righteous, but the wars and colonialism overshadow that fake beacon of justice.

France sees themselves as world power and holy, but they should take a hard look at the mirror.

At home, they are flooded with problems.

Their history is also full with blood in Algeria, the so-called “Pacification of Algeria” (what a name).

US, apart from their country being built on the blood of First Nation people (they also justified the destruction with a nice name: “Manifest Destiny”), has a short history of playing by their own rules, but its shortness is only in timeline, not in the amount of events.

UK, well, what can we say? “Famine” in Ireland, “Famine” in India, the Israel / Palestine disaster, the India / Pakistan disaster, just to name a few. Funny how their colonies seem to have “famine” problems, I guess they had a “England” problem.

‘Global South’? I have heard the term ‘Global Majority’ used. I think I prefer that.

‘The West’ has shown the world what it really stands for, finally the last bit of crud has fallen from the mask most of these nations stand behind. All that has been done (or not done) in the name of ‘The West’ when real things matter shows what a sham this concept is, and demonstrates to all, that those who feel a right of leadership who posture themselves to head up this unity of countries, we see where their sentiments lie. We who inhabit this world need change.

When the Netherlands had its empire it did unspeakable things. Now that it has effectively no power it does far less unspeakable things.

When Western hegemony wanes and is replaced - this new world leader will find itself doing similarly unspeakable things. It's the nature of power.

Had the industrial revolution occurred first in West Africa I have no doubt we'd all be talking about the unspeakable acts of Burkina Faso over the past few centuries.

Macron is living in a make-believe world. Glowing reputation? Since when? Actions and zero actions both have consequences, Emmanuel. You didn't care about image when you funded the genocide of the Palestinian people. Cowardice and vanity at their finest.

Too late Macron! It’s a done deal. The West is no longer the arbiter of what happens in the world. We have squandered our place.

So now Macron’s worried the Empire might look bad?

Newsflash: the ICC already issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu, and Europe’s response was to roll out the red carpet and polish the silverware.

You don’t get to bomb Gaza by proxy, criminalise solidarity, and then cry over lost credibility.

That ship sank somewhere between Rafah and The Hague.

Macron is an interesting character, he gave an interview in Nov 2023 about isrel going too far and how killing babies and women doesn't look good... he's been trying damage control from the off but the reigns keep pulling him back in. It is too late the genie is out the bottle

Western Europe is basically a peninsula with no defence in depth. They need to get with the program and accept their Russian brothers as first amongst equals ……. and then we can all be happy.

The endless rebellion against Tartaria is not funny any more.
